Areas of Law
You have probably seen the adverts on TV about the benefits agencies clamping down on benefit fraud cases. New technology means that more and more people are being caught out. If you are suspected of benefit fraud, we can help.
We are specialists in benefit fraud cases and have successfully represented many clients who have been charged with fraud.
If you are suspected of benefit fraud, either the Job Centre or Local Authority may want to interview you under caution. Because of the legal implications of an interview under caution, you are entitled to have a solicitor present. We always advise that you have a solicitor with you. This can sometimes mean the difference between being prosecuted and not!
Legal Aid is available in most cases which means if you have a low income or are in receipt of Income Based Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support or Pension Credit, our legal advice is free. We are able to represent clients at low cost for those who are not eligible for Legal Aid.
If you would like some advice, contact us and ask to make an appointment with a Benefit Fraud Specialist for your free 30 minute interview.
